ROY FIRESTONE is an accomplished composer, conductor, and performer of music for film, television, and multimedia. He scored the feature films JOSE CANSECO: THE TRUTH HURTS, GALLOWS ROAD, starring Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters, Oz) and Kevin Sorbo (God’s Not Dead, Hercules), DEATH AND TEXAS, starring Charles Durning (O Brother, Where Art Thou?) and Steve Harris (ABC’s The Practice, Minority Report) and THE MOSTLY UNFABULOUS SOCIAL LIFE OF ETHAN GREEN, based on the hit underground comic strip of the same name. Firestone assisted in music preparation for The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions (Don Davis, composer). TV: MINORITEAM on Cartoon Network’s [adult swim] and I’M WITH BUSEY on Comedy Central. Multimedia: Original score for Department of Homeland Security video “A Safer America” and a corporate theme song for ASM International. Firestone has received professional training in the Film Scoring programs of the Berklee College of Music and UCLA Extension and studied conducting at the University of Southern California (USC). Additionally, he is an active organist in Los Angeles.
